We typically serve legal documents in Medina, Portage, Stark, Summit and Wayne counties, but our service area expands further into Northeast Ohio or beyond, including when it comes to serving commercial businesses through their registered agents. Special arrangements, however, can be made in certain instances. Ask an AMC Process Service staff member how our service of process skills can make a difference in your case.
All notary public services are provided in person and in accordance with the provisions set forth in the Ohio Revised Code; see Chapter 147. Our service area for mobile notary service is generally up to 25 miles from Barberton, Ohio. These services are provided by prior arrangement and all associated fees are agreed to by the parties in advance before meeting with the notary.
By and through the Ohio Rules of Civil Procedure, the State of Ohio issues the ultimate word on statewide process service. The state has a Supreme Court that interprets and disseminates what is acceptable and unacceptable instances of service of process. Directly under the high court, Ohio also has 12 courts of appeals that were established by Article IV, Section 1 of the Ohio Constitution, which residents use to appeal trial court rulings.
